Our beers are for drinking. By this we mean that our beers are inclusive, sessionable and for all beer enthusiasts.

Hazy Pale Ale built on malted barley, oats and wheat with little to no bitterness and fruit forward flavour.

We brew some beers for each season such as Deep which we brew only in Autumn and Winter.

Collaboration Beers
We regularly release special edition beers which are always available at our taproom or on our webstore.
Many of these are collaborations with other breweries or friends that we love and respect.
St John Eccles stout
Release Date: 2018, 2020 & 2021.
We are one of the many fans of St. John and are honoured to have our beer on the taps of both Smithfield and Bread & Wine in Shoreditch.
This collaboration beer is now in its third year and we're excited to release the 2021 vintage of Eccles Stout. This is a Christmas release where we add the ingredients of their world famous eccles cakes into a special brew of our Deep stout. This beer is available in 330ml cans, sharing bottles and on tap at St. John and our taproom.
40FT x Mondo Brewery
Never Given DDH Pale 4.9%
Release Date: 6th August 2021
Brewed at Mondo Brewery, Battersea, this was a no boil double dry hopped pale ale and was available at both taprooms and a number of exclusive taps around London.
James Vincent McMorrow
Grapefruit Season 4.4% Grapefruit Pale Ale
Release Date: 16th July 2021
To celebrate the release of James Vincent McMorrow’s new album, Grapefruit Season, we brewed a limited edition grapefruit pale ale for his listening party in London and for our taproom.
40FT x Pretty Decent Brewery
Pretty Decent View | 4.5% Lager
This is a collab that's been in the works for a while. Pretty Decent Brewery are similar to us in that they are a neighbourhood brewery in Forest Gate brewing on the same brew kit as us and most importantly we share the same values.
We brewed a lager in their brewery for a limited release at our taprooms, Dalston Roofpark and The Plough pub in Hackney where our beers are always on tap.
6FT IPA
6FT, a 6.0% Physically Distanced IPA, was launched in July 2020 to help bring awareness of the new rules
for social distancing at our taproom as we emerged from the first lockdown. We worked with North South xyz design agency on this project and printed posters, t-shirts,
and beer mats to promote this iniative which was a huge success and made social distancing easier and fun.
When the goverment changed the rule from 6ft to 3ft we quickly updated our posters and suggested half pint
serves of our 6FT IPA.
Indie 500
Imperial PA 8.2% ABV
Release Date: February 2020
This was our 500th brew aka Gyle 500 and we wanted to brew something special so we went for a big and bold Pale Ale. This beer was available for a limited time at a number of venues in East London and then in mini kegs when the world went into lockdown.
Deepest
BA Imperial Stout 10.5% ABV
Release Date: July 2017
We wanted to brew the biggest beer we could on our kit and decided to see how deep we could go with our stout. We then barrel aged it in a German Whisky barrel before bottle conditioning. Every year we open a bottle for a special occasion.
deep purple
13.7% ABV
Release Date: November 2019
Our Deep Stout refermented with Cabernet Mitos must from Nett wines.
