Beer
We brew modern beer with a nod to classic styles.
Our beers are for drinking. By this we mean that our beers are inclusive, sessionable and for all beer enthusiasts.
CORE RANGE
DISCO PILS
ABV | 4.8%
STYLE | German-style Pilsner; straw to pale in colour with malty sweetness with medium hop bitterness.
TASTING NOTES | Brewed with lager malt only, Disco Pils is light in colour with a clean and crisp biscuit finish and light floral hop notes of green fruits and melon.
BACKGROUND | We wanted to brew an inclusive beer that would engage with beer lovers that don’t enjoy the larger flavours typical to craft beer. This is our take on a Berliner pils style that still enjoys subtle flavours that we like to explore in our beer.
DALSTON SUNRISE
ABV | 4.4%
STYLE | Hazy Pale Ale
TASTING NOTES | Full bodied with a malt bill of wheat, oats and malted barley giving it a hazy appearance. There is little to no bitterness as we add hops only at the end of the brewing process giving it a fruit forward aroma and flavour.
BACKGROUND | We released this beer as we emerged from the first Pandemic Lockdown on the 4th July 2021. It was a dawn of a new day in Dalston and it quickly became one of our core beers.
TAPROOM FAVOURITES
NEIGHBOURHOOD
ABV | 6.0%
STYLE | West Coast IPA
TASTING NOTES | In a time where everyone wants hazy, juicy brews this beer brings the bitterness back to beer with pine and citrus notes.
BACKGROUND | West Coast IPA's are what got us into drinking craft beer and we've always talked about adding one to our range.
DALSTON SUNSET
ABV | 6.0%
STYLE | Hazy IPA
TASTING NOTES | In a time where everyone wants hazy, juicy brews this beer brings the bitterness back to beer with pine and citrus notes.
BACKGROUND | This was meant to be a once off special, turning up the volume on Dalston Sunrise for one time only. It was an immediate hit and we've since finessed it into a favourite in its own right.
SEASONAL RELEASES
DEEP
ABV | 5.0%
STYLE | Dry Irish Stout
TASTING NOTES | This beer has our most complex malt bill with seven malt varieties some of which are cold steeped to bring out the darkest of colours. Notes include chocolate, coffee and liquorice.
BACKGROUND | The 40ft is named after the two shipping containers we started in, however, there is a famous swimming spot in Dublin Bay that a is called the 40 foot and is rumoured to be 40ft Deep. One of the founders of the brewery is from Dublin and this is a homage to home. It so happens that Deep was the first ever guest beer to be poured at the Guinness brewery at St James's Gate.
ECCLES STOUT
Collaboration with St John
ABV | 5.0%
STYLE | Irish Stout with Eccles Cake mixture.
TASTING NOTES | Built on our Irish Stout, Deep, this beer is sweet with currents with a light spice from the all spice.
BACKGROUND | St John is one of our favourite restaurants and world renowned for its cuisine and hospitality. We have had the privilege of working with them each on this annual release. We brew just two batches every Autumn and release it in cans, sharing bottles with a few kegs for pouring at hand picked venues.
